Whether you’re a long-time local or looking to move into the heart of the Flower City, one thing is certain: Rochester’s food scene is a major part of its heartbeat! This February, there is no better way to get a "taste" of why our downtown neighborhoods are so desirable than by taking part in Eat Up Roc.

Running from February 27th through March 8th, 2026, this 10-day culinary event returns to showcase the incredible talent of over 25 participating restaurants!

What is Eat Up Roc?

Hosted by the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC), Eat Up Roc is essentially Rochester’s "Restaurant Week." It’s designed to bring the community together at shared tables to celebrate the culture, energy, and growth of our wonderful city.

For those considering a home in the city, this is the perfect time to explore different neighborhoods—from the historic vibes of High Falls to the modern and lively energy of the bustling Park Ave neighborhood.

What to Expect:

  • Special Menus: Many spots are offering curated prix fixe (set price) lunch and dinner options.

  • Exclusive Deals: Enjoy limited-time dishes, discounts, and even specialty drinks like the "Eat Up Roc Punch" at Side Bar.

  • A Diverse Palette: You’ll find everything from elevated date-night Italian at Pane Vino On The River to the innovative, chef-driven plates at Patron Saint or Native Eatery and Bar.

Why This Matters for Local Real Estate

As real estate professionals, we always tell our clients: "You aren’t just buying a house; you’re buying a lifestyle." Vibrant events like Eat Up Roc are exactly what keep our property values strong and our streets lively! When you live in or near downtown, these world-class dining experiences aren't just a special event—they’re your neighbors. Supporting these local businesses helps ensure that Rochester remains a top destination to live, work, and play!

How to Plan Your Culinary Tour

Don't just stick to one spot! We recommend grabbing a midweek lunch near the Mercantile on Main and then planning a full Saturday night out to see how the city transforms after dark.
